Broadcasts

Sending messages to multiple contacts at once.

What are Broadcasts?

Broadcasts let you send a message to multiple contacts at once through a connected WhatsApp channel. Use them for announcements, promotions, updates, or any situation where you need to reach many people with the same message.

Creating a Broadcast

Create a broadcast in a few steps:

  1. 1

    Select a channel (optional)

Choose which connected WhatsApp channel to send from. If you skip this, Neuron auto-resolves the channel from your organization's default channel or the first connected channel.

  2. 2

    Compose your message

Write the message text. You can also attach media — images, audio, video, or documents.

  3. 3

    Add recipients

Add contacts from your contact database, enter phone numbers manually, or select contacts from WhatsApp groups on the channel.

  4. 4

    Review and send

Review the recipient list and message preview, then send. Messages are queued and delivered in the background.

Media Support

Broadcasts support multiple media types: text-only messages, images (with optional caption), audio files, video files, and documents (PDF, etc.). Upload media when composing the broadcast. The media is sent alongside your message text to all recipients.

Recipients

Recipients can be added from three sources: your Neuron contact database (search and select), manual phone number entry, or contacts from WhatsApp groups on your channel. Duplicate phone numbers are automatically removed.

Tracking Delivery

After sending, the broadcast detail page shows delivery status for each recipient: sent (message delivered to WhatsApp), pending (queued for delivery), or failed (delivery failed). Use this to monitor progress and identify issues.

Resending Failed Messages

If some messages fail to deliver, you can resend the broadcast to failed recipients only. This retries delivery without re-sending to contacts who already received the message.
